Start-Up Chile

Start-Up Chile is a pioneering public startup accelerator launched by the Chilean government in 2010, marking a significant and innovative effort to foster entrepreneurship and transform Chile into a regional innovation hub. Its core mission is to attract high-potential global entrepreneurs to bootstrap their startups within the Chilean ecosystem, thereby promoting local talent development, job creation, and economic diversification. The program is renowned for its unique model of providing non-dilutive funding, differentiating it from traditional venture capital firms that typically take equity in exchange for investment.

The accelerator offers distinct programs tailored to different stages of startup development. Its flagship "Seed" program, designed for early-stage ventures, provides a substantial equity-free grant of up to CLP 25,000,000 (approximately USD 27,000). For more mature startups demonstrating significant traction, the "Ignite" program offers a larger grant of up to CLP 75,000,000 (approximately USD 82,000). Beyond financial support, Start-Up Chile provides a comprehensive suite of resources, including mentorship, networking opportunities with local and international investors, and access to a vibrant community of founders, all aimed at accelerating growth and market entry.

Since its inception, Start-Up Chile has made a considerable impact on the global startup landscape.
